EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time

Overview of the project:

The problem of excessive release of greenhouse gases such as CO2 on the environment has become a global commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2060. A novel means to convert the CO2 in order to mitigate the effect of climate change based on plasma approach specifically non-thermal plasma has been the centre of research recently. This project will investigate the fundamental aspect of CO2 conversion via non-thermal plasma source. Up to dates, the understanding of the conversion mechanism and plasma chemistry remained as a significant challenge in the research area of carbon capture and utilization. This is a project with multidisciplinary elements incorporating physics, chemistry and engineering. Student training will be provided at initial stage.

 

REQUIREMENT:

1. Malaysian only.
2. Physics / Plasma Science/ Material Science / Chemistry / Engineering degree or related discipline
3. Possesses Master’s Degree with CGPA 3.0 and above in relevant fields or Bachelor degree with CGPA 3.70 and above.
4. Must be willing to register for Master/PhD within 3 months of appointment.
